Accuracy Live weather and forecast weather information is derived from 5 different information sources including: an automatic weather station (if available for your region), field observations, regional METAR reports, an on-site UK-wide lightning detector and a regional forecast data feed from NOAA. This is combined and processed by a range of specialist software every 10 minutes. Whilst we endeavour to be the most accurate source of local weather data available, we cannot 'guarantee' accuracy. Meteorological calculations are standard calculations for wind speed, temperature, dew point, windchill and heat index and assume standard ELR.
